Osprey – Knights of the Round Table
Mal wieder ein hübsches Buch von Osprey:
The Knights of the Round Table were the original knights in shining armour, and this book is for anyone who is interested in fantastical tales of bravery or the actual history behind the stories. In medieval Arthurian tradition, Arthur often takes a back seat in the most exciting stories, appearing at the beginning and end of each to set the scene and conclude the tale. Schon vor einiger Zeit ist die vierte Ausgabe des Pendragon Fanzines Dragons of Britain erschienen! Der Redakteur Steff Worthington ist ein echter Fan und gibt sich bei jeder Ausgabe viel Mühe. In dieser Ausgabe war sogar ein Artikel aus unserem Blog vertreten, was uns natürlich sehr freut :-]

Die Erweiterung erscheint im März und wird 55 Karten enthalten (38 Storycards & 17 Ending Cards), eine Kartenliste gibt es bereits als PDF auf der Homepage von Atlas Games. Runequest – Mythic Britain
Für Runequest (mittlerweile bei The Design Mechanism) wurde jüngst ein Buch zum Thema mythisches Britannien angekündigt. Das dürfte auch für uns interessant sein, gerade weil auch das System nicht allzuweit von Pendragon entfernt ist:

Der Graue Ritter und der Schwarze Freitag
Für 1$ gibt es heute bei DriveTru ein sehr schönes Abenteuer für Pendragon: The Grey Knight.
„Ehrenwerte Herren¸ huldvolle Damen! Erweist nun meiner Herrin und ihrem Helden den angemessenen Respekt!“ verkündet der Zwerg laut. Wieder wenden sich alle Auge dem Nebel zu¸ aus dem sich zwei Gestalten nähern. Die erste¸ eine Frau¸ reitet einen Zelter¸ so schwarz wie die Nacht. Ihr folgt ein Ritter in Grauschimmernder Rüstung. Sein Gesicht ist unter einem unheimlichen Helm verborgen¸ das Visier gleicht einem grinsenden Totenkopf. Als Wappen führt er ebenfalls einen Totenschädel. Der Mann ist ein wahrer Riese von Gestalt.
Beim Osterturnier am Hofe König Arthurs erscheint ein seltsamer Ritter. Er beschuldigt den König¸ im nördlichen England Hunderte von Kindern ermordet zu haben und fordert ihn heraus. Gawain¸ des Königs bester Ritter¸ nimmt die Herausforderung an¸ aber Merlin prophezeit seinen Tod in diesem Duell¸ falls es nicht gelingt¸ denjenigen der Dreizehn Schätze Britanniens zu finden¸ der Gawains Rettung verheißt. Die Abenteurer begeben sich auf eine fieberhafte Suche nach dem rettenden Artefakt¸ denn das tödliche Duell kann jeden Tag stattfinden… (aus Daraken’s Rollenspiel Infopage)
